1934 Boston Opra House

Oldest item dated is 1934....nice

Very cool !

Awesome saves!
Is the black box thing some kind of voltage producing meter? The greenish box thing looks like a sewing machine motor.
A lot of the school stuff I remember seeing as a kid.

Great stuff you got. Can you post a picture of the front of the tube radio and the back of the speaker.

I believe that Black Box with the voltage selector on top ("RITCO" on the side) is a variable transformer used in high school and college electronics classes. It was probably used in the mid 50's into the mid 60's.

Nice stuff. I would also like to see the front panel of that radio.

Were those items from an Estate Sale? or from one of your family members?
.Nice Older items & in good shape.
Davers

No someone was clearing out an old empty house. Only thing I spent was putting the boxes and bags in my car. Lots of junk to save these things. The person has been putting out 10 or so boxes on the street on sat before the trash comes. At one point I was picking boxes till I started finding good stuff! Now I just take to full boxes and go through at home.

Have do idea what this is, I found a date of 30, 1913 in one of the lower pic's. it is on very old paper.

Ill get a shot of the speaker later, still has the plug on it and fits the radio. also found the small loop antenna as well. WOW

Turns out it is a SilverTone head unit, speaker, and antenna, Need to keep a keen eye out for what it came out of.

some pretty good stuff there - old paper is always good to sell - doesn't take up much space - you never know what will sell - taking the boxes is always a good idea (or - in some situations - trash bags...if they have the right stuff) - whenever a junk drawer is dumped out - all the coins & jewelery.....the heavy stuff - goes straight to the bottom - hopefully this is a hoarder house - if you get lucky....you might have old stuff to look through for quite some time - I was selling stuff from one paper-hoarder house for several years...........
