Hi everyone;
Well today I didn't goto Miami Beach but rather a local beach that is a bit touristy but not even close to Miami Beach tourist population. I started out and founds coins, coins, coins, then a brass earing, then some more coins. After being in the blazing sun for about 4 hours I was starting to think about going home when my Garrett Ace 250 lit up on the nickel setting, my favortie :o I dug out this absolutely beautiful 14K white gold Emerald and diamond ring. Please pardon my camera as the image is a bit fuzzy but there are two vertical rows of small diamonds 5 on each side for a total of 10, below that is a honkin big Emerald. On my way home I took it to a local jeweler who confirmed that it is an Emerald but told me that I needed to have it professionaly appraised which I am going to do first thing tomorrow morning. Enjoy the pics.

O6...WTG,that's an awesome lookin' ring,Keep us posted when you find out....HH!!

What a nice ring! Congrats!

I went down and hunted So. Beach at sunrise Sunday morning and got about $3.00 in clad, and tons of pull tabs and bottlecaps. I also couldn't believe how many people with detectors were out there too. and how much garbage is on that beach. The only thing that made the morning was a touch football game with some college kids, and the girls were topless! LOL.

You have to go at night around 5:00PM just before the sun goes down and make a note of where the bulk of people are laying on the beach. Once the sun starts to go down and they all start to leave go over to where they were in the sand and swing away. By morning everybody and there brother is out detecting and chances are slim, night-time is the way to go on SoBeach. Of course there is always the water, I am just ITCHING to get into that water but the waves have been to big lately due to the wind. Once the wind dies down I am going to spend a few days in that water with my Beach Hunter ID, especially now that the tourist season is in full swing.

Was this in the dry part of the beach? I've read numerous posts saying that the Ace 250 won't work well in wet sand. I don't live near a beach, but I'd like to have some idea whether taking my Ace with me the next time I go would be a waste of time. BTW, beautiful ring!

Hope that ring brings you lots of luck in the future. Great find. Vern

After spring break searches can yield some good finds. I ran across a guys webpage last year who has been scuba diving Lake Havasu after the huge bash they have there on Labor Day or Memorial Day, one of the two. He always finds good stuff and always finds some rather odd stuff too.

AWESOME!! What a beautiful ring!!
Congrats!! Hope you find many more....

HH!!
