I went back to the plowed fields from yesterday but did'nt detect there. When I was there yesterday I saw some guys leveling out a area that had been woods which happens to be behind what was once a school. I could'nt resist. Wound up with a 1942 quarter, three 1943 Mercs, 1943-P wartime nickel and 19 wheaties. The oldest being 1913. The wheats are kinda beat up as usual for my area. Got em soaking in olive oil now. Also got a silver earing,a religious medal,a pin that says little system cross crown on the back and something that says Washington DC.Got some other things as well. I had to keep the unused pulltab. Pretty cool. I covered the whole area in one direction in about 3.5 hours. Hopefully I'll be able to go back over it in the other direction next weekend.
Happy Hunting,
Mike in NJ

HI HO SILVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice job on those digs

Hey, I think that cross religious medal is a protestant attendance medal.
I think I have one from Presbyterian church when I was a kid.
Good Find!

Fantastic finds Mike - thanks for sharing!

Nice hunt. Good variety. :) Like the pics - nice layout.

Try soaking that war nickel in Amonia. Sometimes that works good. Never does any harm.

Excellent finds Mike, love the mercs. Looks like that modded Classic is working nicely! WTG bro.
