I stopped by my local thrift today as part of their inventory reduction sale. The first item I bought is a coin silver bowl for $0.50. it is marked O 900 along with location marks.

I then saw this very nice hand painted bowl with cover for $1. It is stamped with a makers mark which looks like a flower. If anyone recognizes this I would be most appreciative.

I also saw a set of six small spoons. They have gold plated handles but are marked 800. I took a chance that they are gold plated silver. Paid $3.99 but my sister was with me and wants them if they are not silver.

The last item was a Kaiser clock. It is working condition but with a rough exterior. I hope to clean it up a bit but the last one like this sold on Ebay for $30 to $90. I just liked it and will keep it.

The spoons did not test for silver but the bowl is good. 4.38 Troy ounces

How did you test the spoons (14k acid or?) and are they one piece or are the handles separate? They look like they are solid one piece.

14 ?
This on 800 does what ?

What was the reaction with 18 ?
And do you have silver acid (red) ?

800 = (80% silver or 800/1000)

They are solid pieces. The metal is so hard I could not get a scratch on the touchstone. there is no way on being silver with that kind of hardnesd.
