More silver -- and an SLQ with date !!

Hit another milestone today – got an SLQ with a date on it. 1917 Type 1 (porn in my pocket) – The signal was clear as a bell and about 7 inches down – the closer I got to the target the better it sounded. I ended up scratching it a few times tying to pry it loose from about 3 tree roots. The better looking of the mercs is also a 1917 and I got a 1917 penny too – odd stuff. These finds bring my silver total for the year up to 92 and my wheat total to 212.

My goal for the year is/was 100 silvers still have a few goals I haven't reached most have to do with the low tones. Maybe I will be showing you all pictures of heaps of pop tabs nickels, can slaw, and pencil erasers

Worth around 20 bucks eh? -- would say it is in good is all -- not much more -- no mint mark on this one -- odd for this area of the country -- 90% of what I dig is D or S

Gabbit, ive got to get out to Boise & see how you do it! You've got to be the silver king, you've found so many awesome coins! Im still looking for my first pre-64' silver. I got a 65' dime last night..............getting closer. Gonna throw a damn party when I finally break the 1964 barrier! lol Although I may have crossed a threshold last night, I have a QXT (whites) very nice machine. I usualy turn it on & go but played with some adjustments, turned up my sens as high as I could before it got unstable & started digging very faint coin signals. I got a quarter at about 9-10 inches, several dimes at 6-8 inches, bunch of copper memorials real deep too! The park i was in is a relatively new one but there is an old park (almost 100 years old) that I want to try out my new technique in. I may have acheived a new level in this fine hobby & may be posting silver very soon!
Oh, and a big congrats on that killer SLQ!!!
