More shrooms, bullets, & a POCKET SPILL !

The wife & myself decided to do a little shroom hunting today. Well I detect at the same spot I hunt shrooms so I brought my MXT. Good thing I did. After finding a few bullets & no shrooms I decided to move a little on the edge of the property I hunt. I started digging some lead so I went and got Tab and asked if she wanted to dig some. She said no and that she had found three nice shrooms so she was going to keep looking for them. I went back to where I was finding bullets and turned the machine back on and that's when I got a real nice mixed signal. It was jumping around but with solid signals. So I cautiously dug out around the signals and first seen an Indian head looking back at me. After hand digging the rest of the signals in the hole I ended up with 3 Indian heads(1861,62,&63), 1 large cent(1829), 1 Seated dime(1853), & 1 very worn silver Spanish looking coin. My first pocket spill!

nice finds Mike.... I think I need to hunt with you...lol all my sites are a bust... Hunted a old fort site (french &indain war site)yesterday that is now my friends back yard..an I didn't find nothing but clad an what I think maybe a arrowhead but not sure..I think it's made from slate... Not what I was hoping for... there is a house 2 houses up from my friends that the archies dug 2 years ago an they found a bunch of KG's

that's a great hunt. would also like to see that probable spanish a little closer, and would like to see those morels a lot closer, like on my plate!
i went out today with the metal detector trying to sneak up on some morels, but they were too wily for me.

Wow, that's great! Congratulations!

That spill raises an interesting question. I've always wondered how the large cents were valued after they were replaced by the smaller cents.

Very nice Mike....I love finding CW era coin's around CW relic's.Now all you need is a 64' & 65' for the complete set...Still looking for a 63' myself.Good stuff
