Didn't know if we were gonna go Saturday due to the rain but the sky was clear and we had about 2 hours so we went to our favorite civil war field. Ended up moving around the field a lot and it worked out pretty well. We at least know now their could be a sword belt plate due to my dad finding a sword belt plate keeper, this one has the numbers 607. I also got some firsts with 2 epilette pieces. Sorry for the bad quality photo but one of the epilette pieces has an anchor on it. Not sure if that's design or it means navy or something. Also found a powder flask top and a unidentified brass piece. At first I thought it was a oil lamp piece but the back is lead filled? Anyway thanks for looking guys and HH.

20180910_163404.jpg dad's buckle keeper. We're definitely gonna try and find the rest.

20180910_163432.jpg My first powder flask top.

20180910_163508.jpg also my first epaulette pieces. Sorry for the bad quality photos but look closely at the second/broken one... it has a small anchor inscribed in it? It is an epaulette button/scale button right?

20180910_163635.jpg Here's the back of the brass item. Looks like it would be an oil lamp part or some other random piece of brass. But what's really confusing me is the lead or pewter filled back. The front is smooth brass with the hole in the middle obviously. Any ideas on what it could be?

10253.jpeg Here's a better picture of the anchor. Still not the clearest photo but you can kind of see it now.

The first brass piece I think Is a suspenders buckle or pack strap buckle. No expert but someone has found one I'm sure. Nice finds.

images (4).jpeg Here it is rook. Hooked on the back of a sword belt plate. Look up sword belt plate keeper for more examples.
