Lots of interesting trinkets in the old fort burn pit that I dig. They must have cleaned out every building when the fort closed in 1940. Bottles, broken dishes, toys, tools, make-up compacts, medical equipment, lighters, silverware, jewelry, holiday lights, coins, horseshoes, Picture4.jpgPicture1.jpgetc...as well as military brass.

My wife asked me what was I going to do with this junk so I told her I'll make displays of it. They turned out pretty good.

How many hours of hunting do you estimate you have in the whole collection?

Looks DAMN good!! Thanks for the inspiration!

Very Nice way to display that old stuff. COOL! HH

Hunting - couple hours a week for the past 3 years. Cleaning, researching, and displaying - even more hours. You guys all know how much fun it is to find something that is caked in dirt and corrosion, take it home, clean it and find that it's a treasure. My favorite finds are the old style disk dogtags... work on them for hours trying to discern the name and unit.

simply an awesome bunch of stuff you got ya there!
