Another lost hunting weekend.

Friday:
WINTER STORM WATCH FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON. Snowfall begins Friday night, spreading across the metro area between midnight and 4 a.m. (A temporary pause in snow- fall is possible in the southern suburbs Saturday morning.) Sun filters through high and mid-level clouds Friday. Not quite as cold. Low temperatures steady or rising at night. Southeast winds by afternoon 5 to 12 m.p.h. Clouds lower/thicken Friday night with snow moving in from the west. Snow accumulations could be 3 to 5 inches by daybreak Saturday.

Saturday:
Accumulating snow into the afternoon in city and north—then snow showers. Estimated snow totals: 6-10 inches in city and north tapering to several inches south.

Sunday:
Blustery, colder. Clouds/lingering flurries give way to passing sun—except in sections of Indiana/Michigan snowbelt where lake-effect snows gene- rate additional accumulations

have a good un..............

We've been long overdue for a snow! Tapering down further south - so what's further south :icon_scratch:

After we went back to frozen tundra I took a street home from work that I haven't done in a few weeks and low and behold a section of sidewalk ripped out. Why didn't I see that during the small thaw we had >:(

Now to wait for the snow to melt and hit it before the city pours cement.

Do you normally do farely well on the sidewalk ripouts? I drove past a few by my folks neighborhood, and thought about 'tecting but just drove by thinking instead.

Let's see - I have found IH & Wheat ear cents, Merc & Rosie dimes, V & Buff (but no war!) nickels and Barber and silver Washington's quarters. Not to mention a few tokens to boot!

Then again, I once detected an entire block of a city tear-up and found a CTA token and about 60 cents in clad LOL.

Man I'd kill for a torn up sidewalk about now.

You and me both!!! I have been checking the radar and it aint looking to bad. Of course, now that I said that the warning will go to a blizzard warning and the city will be shut down for three days. LOL. I am hoping I can go back to being TMAN soon. Maybe sometime in March. SMAN...
