Friday:
WINTER STORM WATCH FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON. Snowfall begins Friday night, spreading across the metro area between midnight and 4 a.m. (A temporary pause in snow- fall is possible in the southern suburbs Saturday morning.) Sun filters through high and mid-level clouds Friday. Not quite as cold. Low temperatures steady or rising at night. Southeast winds by afternoon 5 to 12 m.p.h. Clouds lower/thicken Friday night with snow moving in from the west. Snow accumulations could be 3 to 5 inches by daybreak Saturday.
Saturday:
Accumulating snow into the afternoon in city and north—then snow showers. Estimated snow totals: 6-10 inches in city and north tapering to several inches south.
Sunday:
Blustery, colder. Clouds/lingering flurries give way to passing sun—except in sections of Indiana/Michigan snowbelt where lake-effect snows gene- rate additional accumulations
