More nails then I can shake a stick at.

Hey guys and gals. Here are some pics from the stuff I found this morning and over the past couple of days at the cellar hole in the woods behind my house. I hope all this nail diggin' will pay off. I tried getting out away from the hole and found many more spots of nothing but nails and barbwire. It's a little discouraging sometimes but I'm determined. A couple of the pieces I am going to post in the What Is It forum after I get through here.


Also, I went to the old church I got permission to detect a couple of times and found lost of junk as well but here are some of the more interesting finds.

One day I'll get the good stuff.

That's what it is. I thought it was just another bottle cap when I found it, I just put it in my pouch to throw away with the rest of them. When I got home and started throwing things out I felt something on it so I cleaned the dirt off and that's what it was. I wonder what the girl who wore it looked like? Something Jeff Foxworthy might say. If you make your earrings out of Budweiser bottle tops, you might be a redneck!

Thanks for the comments. The latest issue of Lost Treasure had a great article on old nails. I am glad I read it before I chunked this batch. I've thrown the others in the trash but this is the first batch that had a lot of the older nails in it. I may clean em' up and make some kind of display out of them.

I'll pass. I've got plenty more where those came from. A couple of good things about all these nails is the digging experience I have gained and I've gotten really good at pinpointing my target.
