So I took NOLA_Ken's advice and I've been sifting that field site that produced the brass military and civilian buttons I posted about a few weeks back. No coins unfortunately, but I'm happy to say that it's produced a number of new buttons including the following two unusual ones and then a copper piece that looks very interesting. No idea what it is, but hopefully someone here has stumbled across it before!
The first photo is a brass two-piece button with what appears to be a rabbit on the front. It''s very hard to see, but the back has "Hammond Turner & Sons."
The second is another brass two-piece of the same size and construction, but with two horses. No writing on the back.
The third piece is copper and is symmetrical all around. There are four parallel channels and the hollow inside looks like it has very light turning marks.
