Not sure on the buckle. Silver plated Colonial :dontknow: Better pics of the coin please..pretty please, unless you already know what it is. Nice finds. jgas

the coin is beat. im pretty sure it's a KG 1746. i wish i could get a better pic.

hi terry, I am no expert on buckles but at a quick glance yours looks like a two piece sub square buckle circa 1720-1790 :icon_thumleft:. I hope I am right but I am sure iron patch or Cru or SS will prove me wrong or right.

GOD I love junk. :)

Nice finds. I think you got some colonials there.

I'd take a 1746 coin for 3 hours of detecting!

I spent 5 hours detecting at the beach this past weekend and found 51 cents - the oldest being a 54 wheat cent...

I wish i could get a better pic but looking thrue the mag glass i pretty sure the date on this coin is 1734. that would make it King George the 2nd.

Like the buckle!

Well it's definitely George II or III. Can you see the bust? The direction and style of the bust will confirm if your date fits. Even in the pic I'm pretty sure I see 173_ ....so would be young King George II.

A couple cool finds. Like some other I think you buckle is mid to late 1700's

nice buckle and george terry! go to my post under colonial buckle and theres a web site posted for buckles. willy

Nice 173? it looks like a star after the 3 Good Hunt :icon_thumleft:

I"m pretty sure thats a knee buckle! WHAT an awesome little buckle...I have only found a plain frame...thats an awesome one. Nice copper as well.

I'm assuming your tongue was planted firmly in cheek when you used the term 'junk'.
I'd kill for finds like that!

Ok, maybe just slap him around a bit ;D

100% correct :icon_thumright:

A Colonial knee buckle and a King George copper: That sounds like a typical PA Colonial hunt on the frontier. :headbang: :notworthy: Show me some more Colonial treasure, Terry.
