Some of you have asked me what Never Never Land is, and I have also been the butt of alot of Michale Jackson jokes in that past. (I dont mind though, I think they are funny.) So while I was hunting today I took a few pictures of the place to show you guys. See attached photos......Never Never Land is located in Pt. Defiance Park in Tacoma,WA. It opened on July 4th 1964, and was kind of this Nursery Rhyme themed walking tour. I remember going there as a kid back when it was still bumping and well taken care of and kept up. Now it is kind of a forgotten wasteland where stoners go to hide and smoke dope in the old huts. It used to be kind of a cool place. They had the 3 pigs, the dish running away with the spoon, the old lady who lived in a shoe, ect. It had been vandelized so bad over the years that the parks department just shut it down and quit keeping it up. hoodlum kids used to sneak in at night and put the characters in various funny positions once in a while. Once they put a beer can in Jack Sprat's hand, that sort of thing. Now all of the characters are gone or destroyed, or taken out by the parks department. It is kind of sad really. But is is sure a good place for MD fun. I love hunting there. Lots of area to cover in there. I always walk out of there with something. Alot of people have gone through there over the years, and I cant believe it, but you used to have to pay to get in to the place. Oh well, today I found 24 cents, and I was in kind of a hurry .
