More Heel plates

Noted several posts on brass heel plates, so thought I would show these. Found in this old mining camp of Rosita, CO. which was founded in the early 1870's. Completely gone by 1890.
First one measures 1 1/2" wide by 1 5/8" long.........Second very small is 1 3/16" wide and 1 5/16 long. Both Brass
Would guess they are both from ladies or kids shoes?

I love those and love finding them. I've never seen one exactly like the small one that you dug.

Yes, those two are from a Ladies' shoe and a girl's shoe. The link below may be one of the posts you mention having seen, but I'll include it just in case you haven't. It contains photos of a distinctively Ladies' shoe with the heart-cutout heelplate on it.

The time period of the mining camp (1870s-to-1890s) fits right in with the currently-known time period of these "cutout" brass heelplates.
