Today was the 5th time I've been to this terrific spot I recently found on a high bluff over the Potomac. I got much more, but photographed the highlights.

f1.jpg

left to right, an old transit token, a modern Malaysian coin, a pretty toasty half-penny (likely King George II - I can only make out 17?2 on the date. This was TWO inches deep!), and a really cool Green River Whiskies Good Luck token

f2.jpg

What might be a cap for an old insecticide, and a pocket knife

f3.jpg

A nice 1917-s Merc and a 1945 quarter

f4.jpg

Corroded Ingraham pocket watch and a nice, heavy sterling lid to what was probably a jar or pill box. Only found top part.

f5.jpg

Some buckles. Any ideas on the age? Wonder if any is Civil War...

Also pictured are some spoons, a fired 3-ringer, and a finial. Thanks for looking! HH

Thanks. This spot has really spoiled me.

And UPDATE: The consensus over in the What Is It forum is that the thing with the shoo fly is an antique bicycle bell top.

Nice score !
