Hi all,

I spent some more time this week checking one school and 2 old yards in the area. I found a few wheats, a 1975 Hot Wheels "Flying Colors" redline (Monte Carlo Stocker), an Avon charm bracelet, a religious pendant, a Zachary Taylor token, an aluminum play money dime (dated 1950), some clad, and my 25th ring of the year  which turned out to be a sterling initial ring.

Looks like I'm taking a break this weekend, the heat index is supposed to reach 105.

Hope you all find a little treasure this weekend if the weather is good where you are!

For all you redline fans (like me ;D) Here's a couple of comparison pics of the Monte Carlo - what it looks like after being buried for 30 years and what it looked like new..a mint example out of the package has a collector value of about $75 today.

Just a hint of the decals are still visible, they helped me to positively identify the model and year the casting was patented. You can still see the remains of the HotWheels flame/Mattel logo in the last pic.

Wouldn't you know it...I would have asked if you wanted to trade (My last name begins with "T") but then I wouldn't be able to say I found it ;D

Me too Matt..I guess we all did that. The kids in my neighborhood did as well..that's the 312th diecast toy I've dug in less than 3 years.
