More Good Finds Out of the Median Today!

I was a marathon day today. I started hunting at 9:30 am and didn't quit until 6:30 pm. By the time I was finished I dug out 146 coins. Median silver coins # 144 and # 145 were dug out of the median today.
Also dug up a silver ring and 6 wheat pennies. My wheat penny total out of the median now stands at 488! I should reach 500 wheaties dug out of this median soon I've been hunting this for 5 years!

Other finds today were a highway patrol toy badge, a 2nd lieutenant bar, and a dog food dog tag.

...I used to do "treebelts" and medians when I was younger - ours are a little older
but hit them cause most of the other land spots had been hammered and older guys
did not think they were worth hitting - I did real good on most - keep up the good work

Wow! your killing it on that median, wish I had one around here to hunt, say, how do you clean your silver?

Scrub the silver coins with a green scratch pad, it's the kind attached to a yellow sponge. Add a little dish soap and water and scrub the coin. I only do this on the common silvers, not on any key dates or rare types.

Get on Google Maps and look for the medians. Iv'e found about 30 different medians in the towns and cities around here using Google Maps. Over the last 10 years medians have given up over 300 silver coins for me.

The Elephant ring is real cool, I found one close to that in a water search at a lake.I think they are considered a good luck symbol.

So true. After several hours there must be two thousand cars driving by while I grid the median, all of them looking at me. After 5 years of hunting this area the locals living in the houses are probably familiar with seeing me there. 99% of the motorists driving by don't have a clue to as what we do.
