Not much in the way of finds today. Just couldn't find a pocket of anything worth while. Beautiful day in the water though.

Chain and pendant are both aluminum. .45 cal bullet is from 1917. Wheats are a 50 and 56. No silver coins or clad coins at all. Very strange. Two silver rings, second one is a Cub Scout. My third set of chocolate tongs. They came in the box and you had to bend them to use them.

The gold ring has only W-W-W inside it. I believe it is 14K. Stone is missing. A whopping 1.58 grams. Junk earring and ring with a green glass stone in it.

Either I wasn't in the zone or just wasn't in the right spot today. Hopefully my next outing will be more productive.

Hey great finds I think you found treasure it's definitely is not trash. You're definitely finding stuff. Keep on hunting and you will catch the big one! Thanks for sharing I always like seeing what people are finding.

somehow being in the water sounds like a treasure in itself right now. it was murder out there today.

This hunt might not be to your expectations but those are very cool finds!

Great finds Scuba!! the water is refreshing this time of year..

A great day for most of us. :laughing9:

You said it all..."a great day in the water"...it rained most all day so the wife and I headed to the casino...I did very well there but came home to a flooded garage..the 4 inches of water wasn't that bad but the quarter inch layer of MUD was the kicker. So..i think you had a GREAT day! Lol...congrats on the gold and other interesting items..Ddf

Really cool stuff Robert I would love knowing almost everytime Ill have some good finds. Although you cant see much down there or even your finds, a little spooky.. but you work hard for all you get . If you find a hot spot how do you know where it is next time if your not able to see your finds and say your down there for 30 mins moving around... just curious... Stay safe my friend Tommy

I can see my finds a little. I chose not to look at them so I don't waste air. When I find a silver coin I know it is silver because it is black. Some gold plated rings fool me when I find them but they just go into my bag anyway. The key is to SLOW down when I start finding any targets. The areas I have hammered don't produce a beep at all. If I am running out of air and I have found a good spot, I have a Pepsi bottle in my float with a string and a sinker on it. I get it out and mark the spot so I can return and find everything that is around the area.

I have a camera coming. It will be here next week. Hopefully it will take some good pictures and everyone can see what I am up to and how I detect. I don't think you will see much when I am digging but we will see. I will be using this camera in a few places if it works alright. Hopefully won't be boring.

Nicely done Scuba,, those tongs are something I didn't know about. Thanks for the explanation.
Congrats on your finds.

Your certainly recovering some old gold, congrats on the latest finds.
How long does it take for the water to clear once you've fanned/disturbed the bottom?

Sometimes it doesn't clear up very much and sometimes it takes a few minutes. It doesn't bother me that I can't see. I do like to get bearings on where I am going though.

Yep, kinda small. You should probably throw 'em back. ;)

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

I am excited to see some underwater pictures from you. I love your finds and get inspired by your posts. Keep it up please!
