Went back up to the Truckee river a couple times this week to beat the heat and seek what I must seek. As I said before, this 6 miles of river gets detected pretty hard so finds are few.

This is pretty typical scene of anywhere along the river, on a weekday. Weekends are way too crazy to try to hunt here.

The first day I pulled a very strange looking 'artsy' kind of ring. Looks like copper and brass on a stainless steel backing with a strange greenish/blue stone and a nice little 14k gold ring with initials, a couple of junk earrings, a key, some fishing stuff a little clad.

The next day I hit the same 100 yards of river, but on the opposite side. I left the pull tabs in this pic, just in case anyone thinks I'm not doing my due diligence. :laughing7:
I managed to locate a pretty little 14k white gold hearts ring, a tiny 925 ring, an old lipstick tube, a token, a shotgun shell, fishing stuff, grommets and some clad. That little Sterling ring makes 103 silvers so far in 2022.

Nice finds. Usually I hit up those swimming/wading areas in the autumn when there is just enough coolness in the air & water so folks don't crowd the sites anymore. Makes for a more enjoyable detecting experience.
