Hunted a new area for me. It's around 9 miles farther south then the area I previously hunted. Got a late start and didn't have time to walk up or downstream from the bridge. One small rock bar.I hunted for 30 minutes. Not a bad turnout. Although I did end up calling the sheriff to come pick up a bag of used syringes someone tossed. You did great for a 30 minute hunt! What do you do with your geodes? Do you cut them open?

Thanks. I don't have Tile saw or Lapidary saw yet. I'd love to have a soil pipe cutter. I have cut open a few small ones the size of golf balls with a chisel and hammer to practice.

Stockpile them, then when you get the saw, you'll be ready. I did a brief search. I did not realize Indiana is like geode heaven. It's a big deal there.

I found hundreds of them in a creek on my grandparents farm near Henryville Indiana years ago. Some were big as basketballs. I've still have a 5 gallon bucket full from 55 years ago

Nice job on the Geodes. I have always like them.

Cool finds like to see pics after you cut them
