I went back to the 1830 house looking for the rest of the 8 reale. ;D No such luck, but I was able to find some more relics out there. Although this place has been hunted many times over the years, there are still a lot of relics (and hopefully coins) to be had.
Here are my finds from today:

*Three buttons - One nice decorative brass button, and an 1800's flat button.
Any idea how old this pretty brass one is? No back mark.

*A fired CW bullet.

*Suspender piece (?). Any idea on the age?

*Two aluminum Sunoco "Antique Car Series" tokens. One is a 1915 Packard. The other is in rough shape, but I can make out "Studebaker" on it.

* A rectangular whats-it that says "Solid brass - Pat. Jan. 27, 1925" on it.
Anyone out there have a Jan. 27th birthday? I'll mail it to you as a keepsake if you want it. (U.S. only)

Thanks for looking, now go get that turkey ready! ;)

Nice relics MM. Are you digging any iron signals? Sometimes I skip over the obvious iron signals when I'm feeling lazy. You never know what you'll get if you dig them. Alot of nice iron relics out there. Plus the iron could be masking a better signal. Keep hitting that place. It looks like it'll keep producing for you.

Very nice relics :)

Nice finds. All I found today, was the wind really blowing, and the snow was a swirling. We didn't get much, but we do have an inch on the ground now, so must wait for the sun to come back. D#%n I hate winter.
Keep going as long as you can, because your are finding it. HH

Oh yeah, I dig a LOT of iron. Nails to plow heads. The Tesoro loves iron. You are exactly right about iron masking a better signal. I had a plow piece covering up a nice 40's silver quarter once. I'm glad I scanned the hole again that day. ;D

I tend to dig alot of signals in farm fields that I don't otherwise. Anything in postive VDI I'm digging.

Nice finds MM---I think that flat bent button may be from the 1700s.
Here is one of similar construction and the response I got about it from an expert.

Thank you for the note and for drawing it to my attention. It is 18th Century by construction, but don't know what kind of button it is. I do not have an interest in purchasing it, but appreciate you drawing it to my attention.

Merf,
That would be awesome if it were into the 1700's! I guess it could be very well possible since it was found in the same field as the 1700's spanish silver piece. I wish mine had a design on the front like yours. Nice button.
