More Cowbell !!

Hi all !
got 3 short hunts in.
first I went to the School site that yeilded a 3 DB pocket spill.
Got another spill, but from the Cold war era
The only searchable area where this school was located is a narrow strip of woods on the side of the road, I covered it low & slow with the joey
Brought home a chunk of wood that was giving signal, held a slug
Went to a seaside site, got some relics, nice green stone/glass piece, locket with mica
window, odd 2 piece filigree thing
and a few plump oysters
Up on the property above the beach, we have a 'Level One Archeologic Survey' happening...
Then while the sun was setting, hit the shoemakers house, got another nice bell.
I've dug at least a dozen of this style bell, have yet to get a crotal

Hey Herbie,

I'll trade you 3 or 4 crotals for that one, I've only found a couple of pieces of sleigh bell. Such is the nature of the beast, (luck) you'll get your crotal, and I'll get my sleigh bell sooner or later.

Interesting finds today Herbie, the 2 piece filigree thing is beautiful!
Was probably for holding a perfume scented sponge or cloth for women
to smell during long stage coach or train rides.

Not so sure about the oysters, I saw a bed while diving & harvested half a dozen.
(BTW there is nothing sharper than an untouched oyster shell, Ouch )
