More bullets!...but this one could be special!

Went out today for a couple of hours and found this bullet and little round ball. I'm not sure what kind they are so I asked a couple of members here. Stoney sent me a great link with some pictures of bullets. It looks like the .52 Sharps Carbine....but my pic dosen't show the second ring very well....

sorry to be a spoiled sport, but the one on the left of the quarter is post Civil War. Nice round ball however.

Not a spoil sport at all! I have no idea about the bullets I find...but this one is different.....I don't live very far from the cw sites but far enough away not to have access.

So.....how post is it? LOL!

That one has a crimp in the ring around the bottom. That usually means after 1900. Still a find is a find. With all the bullets you dig, anything silver won't stand a chance agaiinst your sensative ears. It will just sing to you when you hit it.

I THINK The Ball may be old.

Perhaps even PRE Civil war.

Hey Nana great finds. You know lead is going up in value and with all you find, you should be able to get yourself a new detector soon. What are the calibers of the bullet and ball. Might help to identify and give a better determination on the age. And you keep digging that lead and soon one of the hits is going to be gold. Congrats...Lance
