got back out to the yankee camp again this afternoon, and found another pair of shoulder epaulettes in the same hole, that makes 8 different epaulettes ive found here now, deep targets estimate 18in+, also found a two piece button, its a little larger than the eagle cuffs ive found here, dont believe its an eagle but cant make out any distinguishing marks on it or back mark as of yet, some bottle pieces, couple 3 ringers, horseshoe

ive cleaned the button up more, think its a first world war era marine corp button

Awesome epaulettes,I have read accounts of officers ditching them at first oportunity,because they were uncomfortable,noisy and im-practicle
