Camped up in Grand County and it was a 'grand' day. 70 degrees. Saw a few flowers. Camped north of Trough Road east of Radium south of the Colorado River. Steep road leading up to where I camped. After I went to bed, rain started up, but I woke up before daylight to find about 3 inches of snow on everything. I was worried about comin back down the road as it was a steep slope for about a 150 yds. to the main road, and since it was 35 degrees it wasn't frozen but just mud. Not to worry, as once you start down the slope, it throws you into the ruts, you stand on the brake and just slide all the way to the bottom. (4WD don't do much on a wet down hill clay based slope; enjoy the ride) Not a good pic, taken in headlights, but how it looked at 4a.m. when I reached the bottom.
