Hello Everyone :hello:! I need help ID'ing this.

Is this a moonstone from Burma? It was found here in the Philippines (Zamboanga Del Norte). Maybe it was loot that the Japanese soldiers found and buried in WWII? I did find and older post by Jocaps and his stone (found in Zamboanga Del Sur)that looks identical to this one. Which can be found here > http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/388415-trabungko-philippines.html"]http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/388415-trabungko-philippines.html[/URL] < Any information regarding this stone would be helpful and what would the price of something of such be? I'm open to any guesses or ideas of what it could be because I'm stumped.

Hi,
I must say, that is one interesting stone, very cool.
Try putting a flashlight behind it in the dark to see if it radiates and colors or just that nice orange tone.
And let me know if you don't mind??
You have my interest as to what it is? lol

This type of find was reported many many months or even years ago!
Try searching "japanese treasure" or "stone eggs".

Moonstone has a blue tint. That looks like the false eggs we put under hens to encourage them to lay or brood.

It just radiates an orange tone. When you cover it up and put a flashlight under it, it lights up like a bulb.

Hi Charlie, actually moonstone is found that has a blue tint, is quite white, pink, and grey, and a variety called rainbow moonstone. I agree that it looks like a fake egg, I found many on old abandoned farms as a kid roaming around.

Best, Gene
