I've been watching the movie and TV shows about how the monument Men found all that stuff that the Nazis stole, especially that big stash in the salt mine, and it's great to hear how a lot of that artwork was returned to the original owners. But they never tell us what was done with the piles of gold and silver bars and the cases of gold wedding rings and eyeglasses and the hundreds of bags of gold teeth and fillings that came from the people the Nazis killed. Are they still waiting for someone to claim that stuff or was it finders keepers ? It creeps me out to think that our government would keep that stuff from the murdered people, or worse, melt it down and use it or sell it. What exactly happened to that stuff ?
