So today I decided to go back to the tree where I found $8.82, to see how much more I could pull out. I only stayed 90 minutes (I broke my tailbone last weekend so digging gets a little painful). Anyway, I managed to pull out
18 more quarters (+3 pictured from digging at a local part earlier today)
10 more dimes (+ 1 pictured from other park)
12 more nickels
22 pennies

-- still many more signals in this small 14-15 square foot area, but I think I need to let the ground recover for a few weeks.
2 day grand totals for this one small spot

1 Sacagawea
39 quarters
17 dimes
22 nickels
59 pennies

When I first started detecting there, my F-70 read the ground as extremely mineralized-- no doubt from all those signals. Now the ground registers normal.

Jon

Wow! What a cladventurous day!

Keep hitting the Saca's and they'll add up quick. Got my first JA dollar this year just last week. Last year I scored quite a few of them but like the Saca's their finish goes bad in a hurry in the dirt and in the woodchips. They almost look like Cheesy Rat tokens in a couple weeks outdoors.

The good thing about finding clad is. You can buy Silver....with it...It adds up quick..

Nice claddage P2C. We need to get out and do some hunting...maybe next weekend in the Heights.
I know a few early 1900's parks where we might be able to pull up some silver.

That is a good haul!!! I hunted a park in LA back in 2005 and found an area where the homeless slept at night. It was FULL of clad. I dont remember how much I picked up but my pockets were full. That doesnt include the 160 quarters I found under my quarter tree in the same park that apparently had been deposited by some kid. TMAN...

Well. . . now that the ground has been "clear-cut" of all that clad, you'll be scoring some old silver soon ;D

(I've never found that much clad :P)
