With many states and the Federal government going deeper into debt each year, it’s amazing how high some salaries inside these bureaucracies are; many paid more than President Obama’s yearly $400,000. Back five years ago 347 Texas state employees already made more, with 53 receiving over $600,000. In New York 35 state employees made over $400k. And, since 2005, Federal employees receiving at least $150K yearly have grown tenfold, from 12,399 to 171,689

Yes...government employees, on average, make WAY more than the people who pay their salaries. And better benefits, too.

But it can buy bad government. But not for you.

Yeah, it really is sad - I call the IRS and talk to a customer service "professional" and she sounds like she has an IQ of 65. Then the Social Security office and I get the same results. I can't get a straight answer because the "professionals" don't know. But hey, their making good money and that is all that matters!!!!

Hell the town i live in has 2 selectman that share a 265,000 dollar a year salary, all the while the position is suppose to be voluntary.
