MODS please take a look at this problem...

Are you using Safari? Have you tried on a different browser like Chrome?

What operating system are you using? What is the size of the files?

You are only one reporting the issue so it is something on your end that is causing it.

Please give me a little more info about the OS, files etc and I can take it to the owners.

Before I retired I worked in IT and we had a devil of a time converting HEIC to jpg and other formats. However that was four years ago and while I stay somewhat current I haven't seen any recent problems as long as you use a converter.

You might try a different converter. Microsoft has a free converter for Windows 10 called HEIF Image Extensions. I'd provide a link but I've gotten in trouble before providing external links. But it should be easy to Google.

Hope that helps

I am running Safari .....It started when I changed phones to a newer 11..

file size is 2,316 x3,088 on heic

I cleared the cache will not work

Ok downsized file

Here is a video of the problem with new convertor.

I misunderstood. I thought your computer was a Windows computer and your phone an iPhone. A converter for Windows isn't going to help on an Apple laptop. I don't know much about Apple products, but I would think you should be able to load the image directly without any converter.

Sorry if I misdirected you.

Not a Mac user but doesn't the Mac have a snip tool similar to windows. Wonder if you could take a snip of the image and try attaching that image?

- Sweet Find though! I'll have to check out your video

I'm at a loss as to what it could be then. There doesn't appear to be any help from Xenforo, the makers of the software and you are the only user reporting the problem so far.

I dug more, it is the HEIC image format. None of the browsers will even display it, so allowing it to upload would be a problem anyway. I have a newer iphone and it doesn't take photos in HEIC format. Maybe you have a setting or something forcing it to do this?

The error also is a Javascript error, not a Xenforo error. I'd suggest disabling HEIC, here's some instructions:

Go to settings- camera-format and change from high efficiency to most compatible.
Your welcome

Don’t forget you have to take a NEW picture with your NEW settings. Hope that helps you for the future.
