So, I have seen many people who relic hunt posting there is too much snow/rain, not any permissions to hunt on or their significant other won't let them go out and detect.

What I have put together is a hand full of my finds that I have yet to identify. Any help or comments would not only help, but would entertain me as well. (Considering I'm in one of the categories above. *not saying which one *) If you are able to get out hunting, good luck!!!

All of my finds have been found in and around the German State of Nordrhein-Westfalen. I have found everything you can imagine, this is why I can't tell you a timeframe the piece could even be from.

Thanks for your help, and you are welcome for giving you something to do.

Top right item in second pic looks like a firing pin. Looks like a few other weapon pieces mixed in. The item with the 95 Broadarrow U marking, the broadarrow U marking is typically a Union of South Africa marking. The WD broadarrow marking is a British marking WD = War Department.

The top right piece looks like it may be a toy cannon and the two bottom right pieces looks like they could be lead bag seals.

Did you try putting all that stuff together to see if you could make something ?

That would be a unique find if it was from a Union of South Africa. I never would have thought. I assumed british, but now I'm not sure. Thanks for the photo and input.

Thanks for the comment! It definitely does look like a small toy cannon. The bottom right pieces are much larger than bag seals. (I have tons) I'm pretty sure they are lead but was thinking weights for something. I'm still not sure. They are about the size of a large roman coin.

Like What? I'm not sure I'm following.

The WD broadarrow part looks like a rifle barrel band, but I just can't place it.

Having to look at these on my cell phone, makes it difficult. Here it is 93 days post Hurricane Michael and we still don't have internet.

I might be wrong here... but I see a couple of harmonica reeds, the cast face and coin look Roman to me? :icon_scratch:

Thanks the input. I thought they looked like that also, but thought it was weird the two on top look to not be broken on the sides. I would think it would be one long piece. 20190113_124917.webp20190113_124858.webp

The reed on the right is from a harmonica. The 2 square ones on the left are reeds from an accordion. You can tell because the reeds are on opposite sides of the square frame, so as to make a sound during the push AND pull stroke of the accordian.

I agree. The face looks roman and I hope that it is. The "coin" is really thin and with the hole at the top I was thinking of some kind of tag. But all the military dog tags I looked up aren't shaped like that exactly.

Spot on Sir! After looking up accordion reeds, it completely makes since that they are separate compared to the one on the right. Thank y'all for educating me on those peices.
