Saturday morning early I went by myself back to the site I had hunted with my son on Thursday. There was one small area I had wanted to finish but we ran out of time on Thursday . I finished it up in two and a half hours . Not much to show for it . I did pop the finger ring sizer , the busted up 1930's die cast Spad xiii WW 1 Fighter , the costume brooch, and what I thought was a Canadian large in the field turned out to be a 1977 One Krone from Denmark. Saturday afternoon My son and I went to a Tidal site . An old brick firing spot on a local river. they started making bricks there in the early 1800,s . I hunted Mostly the flats with thousands of brick rubble pieces along the banks and flats at low tide . I sent my son up on the bank where I knew the horses were kept and where two big hearth bases can still be seen in the woods . This site has been hunted by others and we didn't find much . I pulled the Burkhardt brewing company bottle from the bank of the river just as we arrived. Half of it sticking out the bank just recently unearthed from the tide . I hunted the beach area for an hour and a half and turned up a lot of junk and 1 unidentifiable holed coin. I decided to go ashore and see how my son was doing. At that point he had only found the ornate hinge. We hunted a little longer where I guessed the barn was and pulled the Horse hame and the Big Harness buckle out and then things got quiet we called it a day , Thanks for looking ! MaineRelic.
