Picked up a coin counter bag of halves after work yesterday. It had $219 in it.
From that $219, or 438 halves, I picked out a remarkable number of post '01 halves:
03px19
03dx20
04px19
04dx21
05px20
05dx40
06px20
06dx19
That's 178 keepers from $219 in halves !!
I know some of you don't necessarily consider these post '01 halves keepers; but considering only a fraction were minted, compared with pre '02 mintages, I contend (like proofs found "in the wild"), they will command a premium.
Oh yeah, the bag also yielded a 52d, 68d & 69d, for a total of 181 keepers; or a whopping 41.3% keeper rate !!
