Just a quick search in the woods that used to be a park according to my 1870’s map of the area. After a few minutes I get a pull tab signal about 4” deep so I pop a plug and nothing so dig,dig...check w/pin pointer nothing????Now I check with the detector, beep, beep still there so Dig,Dig pointer check Bzzzz 🤑. Soil is pretty soft after getting below the roots so now I’m scooping with my barehands and I feel something round .... what the heck is this? Wiggle it loose and pull out a Model-T dust cap, cool! Check the hole one more time ,Bzzz and pull out another one whooo hoooo a dust cap spill[emoji12]. I can’t believe I didn’t stab them during the recovery. I bet there’s more to come hopefully silver and gold. That has to be one of the most unique spills ever.

Nice pair of old Ford Model T bearing caps. I found a few of those back in my earlier days. I thought they went to an 8 N Ford tractor. Cool finds. Get the old four banger now!:headbang:

Huh, pretty neat to find two at once.
