Well my partner Gary is on vacation in California and I'm stuck here in the Great State of Ohio.

I hit a few sites that I could hunt and the mosquitoes didn't eat me alive. The sites I hit are in town where they spray for mosquitoes, but you still have to spray with all the rain we have had.

I found this really neat Campbell Soup Fork, couldn't find the spoon. Guess Campbell soup is so thick you can eat it with a fork. LOL I also found a 1918 Half Penny from somewhere, the front says GEORGIVS VDEIGRA BRITT and a bunch more. I also found a old ear ring, a small creamer for a tea set, a Virgin Mary with the Pope on the back, a football and football shoe charm, a 1944 wheat penny and a I guess horn tuner. I think the tuner is for a band instrument.

Thanks for the reply, all I can read on the Pope side is PAOIUS, can't read the other side of him.

Thanks Again, Ringfinder

I love the dark green patina on that half penny. Coins look nicer with that color on them in my opinion. it's a shame that numismatically speaking, a dug coin is worth less if it comes out of the ground looking like that.

Neat fork, and other relics. Way to go!

I feel your pain Ringfinder. Although I have not been MDing, just going outside is guarantee of being eaten by the skeeters. Looks like you did manage to come out of it with a very nice collection of finds. A good assortment on the finds as well.

Congratulations,

Rev

nice finds for sure !!! i agree with evolution,, it's really a bummer....
on a lighter side,, the kid on the spoon....... i would love to smack that silly grin right off his-hers stupid face !! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Wow !!! Very cool finds. That football charm could probaly tell ya story if it could talk. The haf penny is British. We find the odd one up here in Canada too.God Bless and HH...Panz

Thanks for all your replies. It's always fun to dig up something different. That was my first fork like that. I have found some of the half penny's before. They are always a nice find.

I found the football charm at a football field. They were tearing down the school, so I was digging just about any signal, trying to get it before the bulldozers got it.

Happy Hunting all, Ringfinder
