I know this will be next to impossible to truly ID just from my lousy pics and info. But, heck, what's life without a challenge.
First a little background. I eyeballed this from about 50 feet away, (it might be more impressive when you see how small
)
The sun was reflecting on it in that special way it does when something just out of the ordinary is there. With occasional flashes of fire, you know.
Here's some more info. It might not show in the pics too well, but it has a brilliant yellow color. Not metallic though. At least, not as far as I can tell. It's non-magnetic, it doesn't register on the metal detector, not even the pro-pointer. It weighs in at a whopping .1 gram.
Here's the best pics I could get. The dime is for size reference.

This is a little bit of the shine I saw but it was much bigger when I caught the sun just right.

At first I just thought a cleaved piece of metal, brass, bronze. But, doesn't register on the detectors. Two more aspects; when I use my diamond tester on it, it reads positive. (NO, I do NOT think it's a diamond. But, even though I know minerals a little bit, this has me flummoxed.) Also, when I try a scratch test on my gold testing tile, it doesn't streak.

Any ideas welcomed.
Thanks!
