Found this WILLIAMS CLEANER that had miss fired! had to have a bullet worm attached to the ramrod to pull it out . 1- 3 ringer, one hit bullet , lamp base part, and button that has -Glue gem - on it with a diamond?? , copper point, j-hook,
and this clip ?? :dontknow: what is it for....

Possibly, if his powder was wet or he loaded an insufficient amount to get the williams cleaner to clear the barrel. I understand they were required to use an extra amount of powder to get the cutting disc past the lead buildup in the barrel. Another possibility is the soldier for a variety of reasons neglected to load the powder in first.

Nice finds, you are in a good area. 3rd Picture down is a J hook used on their packs. Civil war version of deuce gear. Along with it the other item is also military gear related hook, civil war.
