The pendant of the sailing ship is an example of scrimshaw; basically an etching on natural or man made material that is inked afterward. Black ink on a white background is most common. This type of art was started by sailors on whaling ships so whales teeth or bones were commonly used. Check to see if the pendant itself is ivory or a plastic resin. You should be able to get $10 - $15 for it. Some nice finds.
