Hello everyone,

Below are some random finds this weekend. For the earrings and the pendant I could use some help with the stones. Nothing major, but happy with finds.

The pendant of the sailing ship is an example of scrimshaw; basically an etching on natural or man made material that is inked afterward. Black ink on a white background is most common. This type of art was started by sailors on whaling ships so whales teeth or bones were commonly used. Check to see if the pendant itself is ivory or a plastic resin. You should be able to get $10 - $15 for it. Some nice finds.

Thanks for the info s.tan. I think the Scrimshaw pendant is newer but will see if I can tell if it is bone or resin. Also, for the record, the last pic is all the silver items I found this year. Just the first ones is what I found this weekend.
