Mint rolls

At my main pick up bank the teller I love is holding about $400 in $1 pres coins. All of them are mint rolls same ones off the website. On ebay they are going for about $33 each anyone think this worth picking them up and flipping them????

Worth a shot I would think. Maybe save em for awhile and search eBay to see if there is a market for them...

Are they selling for that, or listed for that? If you can sell them & make $5/roll after fees, I'd buy them and flip them NOW. That window could close real fast. When the state qtrs first came out, my brother worked at Costco at the time as the head cashier. He was able to buy as many original rolls of Delaware quarters as he wanted. We sold them on eBay for $60 each! I don't think coins like that are a good investment long term. Get in, get out, and get your money.

Yeah I saw that too that's why I am worried but some one on a different forum suggested get a the rolls and a film up a few albums and crashing the rest back in. I think I am going to do this.

So let's see if I have this right. You are going to pay $400 in paper for $400 in coins. So all you will have invested is the gas to the bank and back home. What is the worst that can happen? I guess it would be that you have to take them back to the bank and deposit the coins back in your account.

Why not try it?

Depends on which presidential coin it is. Some are worth pretty good money. I picked up a bunch of sacajawea mint rolls and was able to sell them for a good profit but for some presidential rolls people were buying boxes from the mint at face and free shipping to rack up credit card bonuses and flooded the market. I would buy them if I had the spare cash then investigate. In the end if you are going to just dump them I'd open up the rolls and look for error coins and maybe keep a few of the best condition ones for your own collection.

If you got mint rolls of all those you did well. Just hit ebay and see if any have any extra value. Some of the 2012 presidential coins are only available from the mint so those are cool. You could also pick up some whitman folders and sell collections on craigslist. Advertise them as making nice christmas presents and you could easily double your money.
