Minié Balls & Muddy Boots

After FINALLY getting onto one of my favorite sites yesterday, below are the results. Parts of the field were VERY muddy. I captured almost 30 minutes of video. That and details coming later. Also, I'm going to need some help on ID'ing some of the brass pieces in the photos. I'll post separate pics later.

I can see why this is one of your favorites. You got a wide variety of lead. I can scrape mud all day for hunts like that.

Thanks everyone. Oh, yes it was worth it. Gave my new 4wd Tacoma a work out getting there too! I literally had to scrape the mud off my boots about every 10 steps as they would become very heavy and almost impossible to walk. Even the grassy areas were muddy as my feet would sink below the grass and get mud caked on them. But, it was worth it and I'd do it every day if I could!

Thanks Quindy. This was my 3rd year there. Yes, very special indeed. It's a patch of ground about 30 yards by 200 yards and it just keeps giving up the relics.

A weighted down pocket full of minnies, sounds good to me. Probably sank you a couple cm more into the mud at the end of the hunt. Keep digging.
