Found this little beauty today(I dare not show my wife, she will freak cuz it looks spooky). I still think she's pretty cool looking. Did some quick searching on line and didn't find nothing, but then again I am busy today...yadayada...Any one know who the maker is and a time frame based on the back marks. Looks like SC 3/C but that may be wrong? About Three inches long if she had her legs. Yes I looked hard for the legs and arms but you know how that goes. At least I got the good part. Thanks Guys and gals, vn

Reminds me of a frozen Charlotte doll, which were more often not jointed... I don't know if the jointed ones are true frozen Charlottes, but if not I'd still bet someone out there selling one would say that it is and might have info on the marking.

You are most likely correct , that this is not porcelain, at least not glazed porcelain.Bisque would be a better description, for it is un glazed. That link does look similar but the marks do not as well as some features. I never heard of a frozen Charlotte till now....would have thought it was a mixed drink.

I have learned that true Frozen Chalottes were exactly that,frozen....not having moving arms and legs(thank you NHBENZ) but that leaves this one still a puzzle to me. Was this a contemporary to the Charlotte when it was produced in 1860? And still, does anybody know these maker marks? Somebody's gotta know :dontknow:
