Mini butter knife? Rang up as penny. Says made in Italy.

Yessir, that's all the wording I see. To light for silver. Wife says for kids....tea set?

I don't have it with me now. At work.....abt five inches long . Weren't scalpels usually stainless?
 

Yes, Yes they were! And still are.:) I think your wife might be right. Childs play set. But who knows? It is from Italy. I hear they do things differently over there.

Not really, I am trying to find an exact date, and I am up to 1938 so far when steel scalpels and amputation knifes were still being used because they could not get a good enough edge on stainless steel to cut anything with "often refereed to as the knife that would not cut" LOL
In 1963 over 90 percent of surgical instruments were still steel and only 10 percent were stainless steel ..

could be part of a travel or camp dining set. small size for easy portability.
