The snow finally melted off and the ground thawed enough to get back to the 5th Ohio camp I found a couple weeks ago. These guys carried converted model 1816 muskets and every bullet I’ve found in the camp has been .69 caliber mini balls (most of them are pulled). I found 11 of them today along with a couple percussion caps, an underwear button, a grommet, a broken fork and some other odds and ends. I also found this large brass key, probably my favorite find of the day.
