I think you can search up mining claims for that area and that would be a start.

Maybe start with the mine records of Rio Grande county Colorado. https://thediggings.com/usa/colorado/rio-grande-co105 The last mine closest to Del Norte I ever any involvement with was in the Platoro district, but that was back in the later 1980s. Outside of that I've never heard of any caves or really rich mine stories in that region, but that's not saying there wasn't any.

I bid on a mining claim last year in the crystal hill area north off Del Norte district vertical shaft 500 feet straight down what do you want to know.

I'm down in that area north of Del Norte quite a bit camping, but I'm mostly looking for prehistoric archaeology sites. I been to Crystal Hill and that's a mining site, and I drive by that Ghost Mine Ranch, I don't know if they have a mine or just a come on to get you in to buy some development land. I haven't seen any caves in the areas I go to. A few rock shelters. Like I said, I'm pretty much just doing a ground survey, so I could have walked right by something. Can you give us a clue on what mystery you're trying to solve?

Gold rush Expeditions was the company that was auctioning it off . My last bid was 25.000 I believe the last bid was 40,000 but there was some much shit out there to clean up it would have been scary like when the guys with badges show up.

Are you referring to the mining site up at Crystal Hill that has the collapsed shaft?

This mine was called the Last Chance I don’t believe it had anything to do with Crystal Hill but it was in its mining district area. What was crazy with all the lead oxide that was on the ground there?
