This was one of the first buttons I ever dug. The only info I have on it is its Minerva the roman goddess of war. Atleast thats what I was told. Any helps appreciated. Its a 2 peice button with an iron back so probably not that old. Thanks.

Minerva - She was the virgin goddess of poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, weaving, crafts, magic, and the inventor of music.

Also doesn't look like her.

The helmet looks more Medieval. Is it a steel back, if so a modern blazer type would be my guess.

I think its iron backed Cru. I figured it was a little more modern the site dated to around 1900. Thank you

Still a nice looking button & not as common as the other blazer buttons I have seen. This is the first on here, I believe :icon_thumright:

Hey ModernMiner I think mine is defenitly different then yours was. Mine has no wings, And in my opinion is def. a woman its hard to see but down the left side of the button that is her hair, it comes out the top of the helmet and down the side. I am checking the link you posted right now trying to find something that resembles mine. So was yours for sure minerva? Or did it turn out to be somthing else? Thanks for the help. And that was a heck of a peice you found.

At the very end of my post you will see the final answer on who it was. ;D It took a while, but I finally found it.

Hey MM. Glad you got yours figured out. After looking through some of the stuff on your link, she resembles Athena, goddess of war. The only thing being different would be the helmet. But Im leaning more toward her. Hard, I have had this button a long time. Thanks again for your help
