Found this today at an 1850ish houselot though the site dates back to the mid 1700;S a TAG ! Miners tag ? Had to mean something to someone ? Thanks for looking ! MaineRelic

Thats cool. It may have been a medallion that was plated at one time and worn on a chain .

does look like it was "dished"?As said possibly a pendant.A note to you.....if it is "dished",it would date to the 1870's-,as the early pans were actually made of 5 pieces,with soldered joints,much like what is called a goat milk pan
