Anyone have any info on this medal? This was found when metal detecting in Illinois by someone else and I thought someone here might be able to help him. Might be the bottom part of a medal and missing the ribbon. Back only has Greenduck Chicago on it and appears to be made of brass or bronze. I have found that Greenduck did make medals from online research. Any clues?

Thank you!

what part of Illinois? In late 1800s there were strikes/riots around Virden IL, there is a monument in the square there. Very interesting piece, I hope someone can ID it.

It was found in Herrin, Illinois. The same city as the Herrin Massacre according to the finder.
