Folks, I'm so happy I could just cry. It's been about two months now I think since I found a silver (wilver) coin. Today at lunch while detecting at the old farm, I got my slump-buster! After digging numerous rusty square head nails, I dug a 1940 wheat in an area I've hit over and over before. At least it was a coin I kept saying to myself.
I then worked through an area of bent over (wilted) daylilies and BINGO, I had a good signal. Expecting another wheat, I dug down about 6" and under a tree root out popped a 1945 Quarter. Yaba-daba-doo!
I know it's a common wilver, but I'll take it!
I'm starting to notice a pattern here. I seem to do better on the short lunch hunts than I do on the all day adventures. Last week a CW 3-ringer , and today a wilver quarter. My kind of lunch. :-)
Have a great week,
MM
