In the Manual for the Elite it says:
Lower Iron Bias Settings
A lower Iron Bias setting (–1 or 0) is recommended In areas where you do not want to miss any non‑ferrous targets amongst iron trash,
however more ferrous targets will be detected and misidentified as desirable non‑ferrous targets.
When using a lower Iron Bias setting, detecting in All Metal Mode is recommended to avoid missing any desirable targets.

I'm confused.. Both the lower bias setting and All Metal Mode sound like the same setting, no?

Not sure if the tones will change in the all metal mode.
I only have experience in the Explorer series of detectors they put out.
Ran them all with no discrimination to hear every target.
