Hey, that very thing happened to me yesterday, though his excal was a little out of tune.

I cannot help but wonder what model makes a drumbeat type noise.

Obviously an attempt to lure in younger buyers. I question whether or not it will work. Most will think it is cool I guess. I just think it is a lame marketing attempt.

I don't like the guy searching on a crowded beach, as I hate wads that weave in between people on a crowded beach. I think that makes us all look like rapacious jerks. But hey, that's just me.

Hell I will take 2 if the dancers come with them....

I'm the opposite Terry, I have no trouble hunting crowded beaches, more eye candy......

So that's what a CTX can do for all that money? Think I'll stay old school with my Explorer and Technics 1200s. :headbang:

I'm really glad I don't use Minelab products any longer. It's back to Garrett for me.
Come on, Get In!

Agreed, makes me want one even less! But I highly doubt I'm their target audience. People at Jonestown on the other hand...

I didn't get it, but I'm old so it probably wasn't meant for me. I can think of better things they could have spent their (our) $$ on. If they wanted to do a music video, should have had their engineers record all the freq tones from a 3030 and handed it over to a sharp DJ and turned him loose. Would have been clever, made sense, more relevant and a hell of a lot cheaper than the over produced smaltz they came up with.

+1 on weaving in between people.

+1 on weaving in between people.

well since everyone he was weaving in between was set up for the Video.

And Since the Video was Set up For Minelab owners as just a cool vid to advertise a Contest to make a 2 Minute Video with your Minelab.

wouldn't matter to me if he were searching for metal plates in their heads,
and digging the plates out their Brains
(someone please make that video :laughing7:
the detectorist could be a zombie looking for a meal on a plate )

Yea Jeff I made the +1 comment before even watching video! (My bad) All in all I have to admit that's a cool ad for various models of ML detectors!

Watch out! That candy will get you in trouble! lol

Some of us are the before guy in the video, and some of us are the after guy :)...

Did anyone notice what sounded like a sound byte out of the Steve Miller "Jungle Love" song at the 2:20 min mark? Listen to the Minelab video at the 2:20 mark, and then listen to the very beginning of the video below:

Yes - You are correct sir!!!

I like it! I'd like it even more if all the sounds were produced only by the detector.
